After lip contouring

Swelling and slight asymmetry during the first days can be part of normal recovery. Final shape is assessed after the tissue has settled.

This is a general guide. Your clinician’s written instructions for your specific product and health situation take priority.

Before treatment

  • Disclose allergies, pregnancy, breastfeeding, medication and a history of cold sores.
  • Postpone treatment if the area has active inflammation or infection.
  • Do not change prescribed medication without medical advice.

At-home care

  • Do not massage or press the lips on day one unless specifically instructed.
  • Keep the area clean; postpone intense exercise, sauna and strong heat for at least the first day.
  • Use only recommended care and attend your scheduled review.

Possible reactions

Mild swelling, tenderness, redness and bruising may last from several days to a few weeks.

When to seek help

Unusual or escalating pain, vision changes, sudden white/grey-blue skin colour, or facial/limb weakness require immediate medical care.

For sudden dangerous symptoms, do not wait for a Direct reply — contact local emergency services.
